Gaming in Libraries
Borrow INFOLINK’s Gaming Kits for your Library’s Gaming Programs!
Video gaming is currently a hot topic and a popular activity in all types of libraries. With the tremendous variety of games now available that appeal to people of all ages, the time to offer gaming services in your library is here! Many libraries have developed gaming programs that have been successful in attracting teens as well as older adults and families. In spite of many success stories, the cost of purchasing the equipment and games challenges the implementation of gaming services for many libraries.
INFOLINK has the answer! Now you can borrow gaming kits which include the systems and the games you will need to offer your own gaming programs to your customers. This service will also provide you with the opportunity to evaluate gaming consoles and games to purchase for your library.
This wiki was created by the INFOLINK Technology Committee and the Gaming Task Force in order to facilitate the lending of Gaming Kits by the region. You can find all the information about INFOLINK’s Gaming Service that includes the details of the gaming kits, the borrowing procedures, how to set up the gaming kits, how to plan successful gaming programs, useful resources and much more.
