I. BORROWINGGUIDELINES (Updated on Oct. 9, 2009)

1. Gaming Kits can be borrowed for 14 days.  If your return date is a holiday or a weekend, please make sure that you return the borrowed items before your loan period expires. For example, if you borrow a gaming kit on a Monday, you will have to return it by the Friday in the following week.  Extended loan periods may be possible.  If you want to extend your loan period, please call the INFOLINK Office at least 3 days before the loan period expires.

2. Up to 3 Gaming Kits can be borrowed at one time with a combination of up to 3 Gaming Consoles and/or up to 3 Game Kits. Libraries can also borrow game kits without borrowing a console or equipment.

3. Up to 3 Gaming Kit Requests may be made at one time for 3 separate loan periods. New!

A library may make multiple requests under these circumstances:

·        The pickup date for a second kit request must be at least 4 weeks from the return date of the previous request. For example, if you return your first kit on October 1, you may not pick up another gaming kit until November 1.

·        Requests can be made up to 6 months in advance. If you are planning a special gaming extravaganza, we will try our best to accommodate your situation, so please be sure to ask!

4. Pick-up and return of Gaming Kits.  The borrowing library is required to pick-up and return the kit(s) at the INFOLINK office.

5. Contact INFOLINK at 732-752-7720 if you want to borrow a gaming kit(s).  If you have any questions regarding the INFOLINK Gaming Service, gaming kits, or planning a gaming program, please contact an appropriate person as listed on INFOLINK Gaming Task Force page.

6. Each kit comes with an inventory sheet. There is a "Check-Out" sheet and a "Check-In" sheet. When the kit is picked up, please fill in the "Check-Out" sheet, making sure that the kit's contents are complete. When you are returning the kit, fill in the "Check-In" sheet, confirming that you have packed up all the items that belong with the kit. INFOLINK staff will go through this check out and in process with you.  You will be asked to sign on the sheets and the INFOLINK staff will make a photocopy for you to keep.   Please be sure to eject the games from the consoles before returning the kits.

7. Each kit comes with an evaluation sheet. Please be sure to fill in the evaluation form so we can get your feedback. Please return the evaluation sheet with the gaming kit.

8. Safety instructions. Review the safety instructions with participating customers before beginning the   gaming program. There is an INFOLINK indemnification clause on the check out form which must be signed by a representative of the borrowing library. This clause reads as follows:

As a bonafide representative of the borrowing library, I agree, on behalf of the borrowing library, to indemnify and hold harmless the INFOLINK Regional Library Cooperative, its staff and volunteers from any claims arising out of, in whole or in part, this library’s use in of INFOLINK’s Gaming Service equipment and resources during Gaming events and programs sponsored by this  borrowing library.
