Your Own Equipment Needs

Page history last edited by Julie Walsh 9 mos ago

In order to game, you need the console (Nintendo Wii, XBOX 360, Play Station, etc.), something to view it on, and games to play.

You can borrow the consoles (Nintendo Wii and/or XBOX 360) and games from INFOLINK.

Your library must have either a TV or a projector and screen.

Gaming in libraries should ideally be "larger than life!"  After all, anyone can sit at home and play on their TV or other small screen, but it is not everyday you and some friends can play Rock Band on a huge screen on the wall, in the dark, with great sound!

Libraries might also want some great speakers that can be attached either to the TV or the projector.

INFOLINK has one projector that can be borrowed, if available, with the gaming kits.  Please ask our staff about the projector when you call to request our gaming kits.

If you want to have an online tournament among your branch libraries or with other libraries, you will need an Internet connection in the room where you will have your gaming programs.  Our Wii consoles will have a Netconnect.
